Adopt-A-Pet relies completely on volunteers to help the rescued animals of our community. There are different volunteer opportunities in many areas.
To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact us. If you have not heard from someone after 48hrs, please call again and leave another message.
Here are some of the volunteer opportunities with Adopt-A-Pet:
- Adoption Days Staff
- Care for the animals shown at Adoption Days, answer questions about the animals available for adoption and the Adopt-A-Pet program. Help set-up for the event.
- Outreach/Fundraising/Public Relations
- Visit schools and local groups to provide humane education, plan and participate in fundraising activities, and help with television and radio commercials.
Adopt-A-Pet Ambassador Program
Adopt-A-Pet is excited to introduce our Ambassador Program. You can be an ambassador by providing financial support to a dog or cat in our foster program. Sponsorship is especially needed for some of our long-term fosters. Each year in our community hundreds of animals are euthanized because there are not enough foster homes. By becoming an ambassador, you can help Adopt-A-Pet rescue homeless and unwanted animals in the Fargo Moorhead area. How does this work: We have many dogs and cats on the Adopt-A-Pet website that you can choose to be an ambassador for. By pledging money for a specific animal your name will be placed on our website as an ambassador. $15 dollars will help buy food for an animal; $30 dollars will pay for food for a month for one animal; $50 dollars will aid in food and veterinary care; $100 dollars will cover food and veterinary care for 4 months. How can you become an ambassador: Go to the Donate (PayPal) button on this page. https://www.paypal.com/donate/…When making your payment on the PayPal page, expand the “Add Special Instructions for donation” field and enter the name of the animal you are sponsoring. You can also send payment to Adopt-A-Pet PO Box 865 Moorhead, MN 56561 and list the dog or cat that you would like to become an ambassador for. We have many cats that need new homes been in care for years!
